A Goodbye to a KING

Today is one of the saddest days of Philippine show business. Why? Because another pillar of Filipino Rap scene collapsed. Francis M. who has been diagnosed with leukemia just last year died just this afternoon. Francis who has been tagged as the "Filipino Rap King" is one of my idols in the rap scene for his music usually depicts youth and the Filipino society as a whole. He even have a multiply account in which he's the one who personally put the latest news about his fight. He'll never be forgotten by Filipinos especially by me. Actually, I was shocked when I heard the news for I just saw him on TV few weeks ago and he looked like he's really gotten over. I know that wherever Master Francis M. now, he's happy. So we must be happy for him also that he had rest in peace.

The Oscars

Have you watched the Academy Awards?
Maybe the world stopped for a couple of hours just to witness the one of the most glamorous events in the world. Even I was very excited this morning on who will receive the prestigious trophy of Oscars. I have my own bets and I wasn't failed on choosing them for most of them garnered the awards. My personal favorite movie, Slumdog Millionaire received 8 major awards and that's worth a celebration for me. Sean Penn got the Best Actor trophy for his role in the movie "Milk". I believe he deserve really the Oscars. I first knew him when he played the role as "sam" in "I am Sam". That movie really moved me in my sit. I wish I have the chance to be on the venue. But I know it'll be all in my dreams.

Charice Pempengco in Obama's Inauguration

The world is very much agitated to see another changing event,the inauguration of Barack Obama as the new president of America. And it is very moral lifting to say that for the first time, a Filipino singer will be gracing the event. Yes, it is confirmed! Charice Pempengco, the world's singing sensation, will sing in front of Obama and millions of audience who will be watching the event through live feed. According to the report, Charice will sing two pieces. One of these is "God Bless America" and the other one is Whitney Houston's hit, "One Moment in Time". This 16-year old girl, who has been considered the most talented kid in the world, has already wowed the international audience in her appearances in the most famous talkshows and concerts in Europe and in the US. At her age, the achievements, standing ovations and praises that she got is unbelievable and amazing. Filipinos, including me, are very much proud of her. She's truly a Philippine pride.
